Chinese Taipei Association Gerontology and Geriatrics(Taiwan Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics) was founded on July 10 1982, hosts now a total of 1,510 members.

 

General Provisions

The objectives of the Society shall be to promote research, development, and applications of gerontology and allied specialties, to facilitate active exchanges with International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics and other foreign associations, and to improve the health and wellbeing of the elderly residents in Taiwan.

 

Missions

  1. To advance the research, development, and applications of gerontology, geriatrics, and allied specialties.
  2. To organize and hold speeches, seminars, and symposiums related to gerontology, geriatrics, and allied specialties.
  3. To publish papers, brochures, guidelines, journals and books on gerontology, geriatrics, and allied specialties.
  4. To coordinate and collaborate with public and private medical and research institutions to further the development of gerontology, geriatrics, and allied specialties.
  5. To take active parts in international activities related to gerontology, geriatrics, and allied specialties to expand Taiwan's presence in the global arena through vigorous international exchanges.
  6. To manage matters related to gerontology, geriatrics, and the promotion of the health and wellbeing of the elderly residents in Taiwan.
